"Sweet Fragrance" is finished. This drawing is to represent 2 Cor. 2:15. I drew this one for a great couple that has helped me with soooo much this past year.
This blog is about the everyday thoughts, the daily journey with God, missions in a foreign country, the power of God, the people met, and much more in this modern-day missionary's life.

Rose in Hand
Here is the latest drawing that I started tonight...it will represent
2 Cor. 2:15.
I am also working hard at making sure everything I can do admin-wise is done before I head back later next month.
I am on lesson two of one of Diane Cardaci's Foundations of drawing class. I enjoy them. It is about training the eye to see.
I can't wait to get back and get going. Lots of excitement and prayer is going on around here.

Back in the saddle...
I am headed back again soon. Stay tuned for the date, after the travel arrangements are made. Keep things in prayer. I will also be continuing the drawing classes online, working directly with the teacher by way of scans and email.
For those who support by way of prayer groups and intercession, I will begin sending out letters out with updates for specifically for you in February. And for all those who are financially supporting, newletters will be going out in mid-Feb.
There is also a website available for prints of drawings to purchase as I draw a visual journal of the next 12 months or so. http://www.chinajoy.artspan.com/ .

Here's the latest...
I was sick this past week, so I do not think this is my best work. However, it did not turn out too bad either. I experimented more with charcoal in ths one. When I was drawing it, it made me think of Ps. 57:1.

Well, I have started drawing classes....I am starting at the beginning with a foundation in drawing. The lessons are with Diane Cardaci at http://www.drawspace.com/ . I have also enjoyed a great 2010 Freedom Conference. Also just started on another commissioned drawing (above). It's a little hard to see from the scan until I get further into the drawing.

The new year is off to a good start.
I just returned from a great few weeks with my daughter and her husband. Here is the commissioned piece that I have been working on. There is still some tweaking to be done.

Busy December 09
December was a very busy month.....not just the holidays, but also the work to get the drawing website up and running, a commissioned drawing that I am working on (the one in the picture), getting ministry work together....so on and so on....
I have put together a webste to sell prints of the drawings I have done and will be doing in China. http://www.chinajoy.artspan.com/ , and I have set up a shop for ministry logo items at http://www.cafepress/chinajoy. I have also set up a squidoo.com lens to help direct traffic to these. http://www.squidoo.com/chinajoy
In the near future, there will be a shop set up and linked to the artspan page to sell cards featuring the drawings and photos. These sites are a great way for friends and supporters to help get the word out about the work I am doing, and to raise more support. Refer your friends to the website at artspan. It will have links for everything else on it.
