Power in the Word!

I have been dealing with sickness and disease lately, traveling back and forth to Hong Kong to see a reputable doctor.  My children are aware of the situation, and have received regular updates regarding results from the many doctor visits in Hong Kong.  After this last visit, I was really down and physically no energy left by the time I returned from the trip into Sai Kung, Hong Kong.  I told my children what the doctor had said.  My son messaged me back saying “Mom, why can’t you just be healthy?  Be healthy.  I want you around for a long time.”  His response cut deep into my spirit, and I heard the power in those words “be healthy”.

He has hooked up with me in agreement over those words, and I hear them and speak them daily now, in text messages, emails, and via skype.  This morning I woke up in pain and nausea.  However, as I rolled over to turn on my computer I found a Facebook message from my son, “I love you, mom.”  When I read each word, I also heard within my own spirit the words “be healed,” and began speaking them.  Then, I got up out of bed and went about my day.   Each day since last Thursday when my son first said the words, “be healthy” I have progressively seen the symptoms lessen.  There is power in the words we choose to speak each day!

By Sunday, I had noticed great improvement but still experienced some pain and fatigue. During the Sunday Bible School service, the pastor of the church spoke these words, “God does not command his authority over you.”  He further said, “You have to give the authority to him, by submitting to him.  The degree or level you are submitted to God is the level that God can give you authority to exercise.  You are no more a man of authority than you are a man under authority.”  (James 4:7)  If you want authority over sickness and disease, your finances, or your marriage, be submitted to God.  Then when you exercise the name of Jesus, the mountains move!
