Upper Room

This is a drawing from a scene in a dream I had.  It had significance and I wanted to make sure that I did not forget the details of this.  It is almost finished. It just needs a little tweaking.

Drawing in China can be a challenge...

Drawing on the road in China has proven to be a worthy opponent...very challenging. I am determined to make a go of it, producing more artwork on a regular basis. In addition, I have added a new website www.joy-neasley.artistwebsites.com where photography has been added to the mix. I am also endeavoring to post more frequently on this blog, and getting into the "how to" of the drawings, the marketing, and much more as I travel.

playing with the camera .....

Koi, Common Mapwing Butterfly (Guangzhou, China)

Two drawings....

I spent the day practicing shading with this little guy.  He was fun to draw.

I have completed the first attempt at drawing a portrait.  I will be drawing this one again in a few months to see if I can do a better job after practicing various skills more.

White Throated Sparrow

Sooo I am still waiting for photos of "little miracle".  In the meantime, here is the beginning of a White-Throated Sparrow.  I am thinking this may be the last TN bird for a short while.  But that is not a promise.  :-)
I am thinking of a large rectangle wall clock in fall colors with the TN bird drawings that I have already finished on it.  hmmm....I'll let you know if that happens and put up a pic of it.
