Empowering Children Today

The core curriculum is still underway.  After completing Leviticus I have decided to take a break from the Old Testament, and work on Galatians - Colossians.  Each producing a one week study of each book (read previous postings to see all the Empowering Children Today ministry materials that are being created, and to see the overall vision of the ministry).

The core curriculum is called, Empower Me! Survey of the Bible and is divided into each book of the bible as an independent study.  This seems to work well because it will let teachers and students start with which book they prefer in the study.  Some like to go straight through from Gen.-Rev.,others prefer to start with the New Testament, and others may already be studying the bible in a survey format and would like to begin where they are rather than starting over.

I enjoy creating the curriculum, the various age bibles, etc...  reading through the material and seeing the Word of God from the eye of a child.  It provides a unique perspective of His Word, and a simplicity that we often forget as we mature spiritually.  God's Word is not difficult, but we do sometimes as we get older spiritually make it difficult to understand.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support as this project moves forward.  I am believing that at the end of the year we will be ready to start translating the English materials we are creating into Mandarin.  This will require us to enlarge the team for translation and adaptation, and to begin putting it in a format that can be easily sent out to those who will become children's ministry leaders.
