Sitting at the table, eating dinner a local young man shared His gifts, talents, and His calling from God with the pastor. Looking for direction and training, he wanted to submit to the Pastor of our church. In the course of the evening, the young man tried to speak English with us and said, "I am called to be an A_ _ Pole . (Fill in the blanks...a three letter word for donkey.) We could not hold in the laughter, the whole team, including the Pastor cracked up and laughed hard.
We asked him to repeat what he was called to be in the local language for the interpreter. He had actually was trying to say that he was called to be an apostle. The interpreter explained what he had said previously in his own language, and we all had a good laugh till we were red in the face and tears in our eyes.
