Who Am I? I Am Gardening with Purpose.

There are natural laws created by God, like the Law of Gravity.  There are also supernatural laws created by God, like the Law of Sowing and Reaping.

Spiritually young believers test out his law with giving impulsively with little strategy or preparation.  Just as an infant with a new toy first puts the toy in his mouth to taste and smell it.  Then, the infant fiddles and shakes the toy to see what it does and noises it may make.

Have you ever seen a toddler drop toys from the crib or the playpen, just to see them fall.  The toddler is testing and learning about the natural law of Gravity.  After a while, they figure out that mommy or daddy will pick up the toy and give it back, over and over again....learning a different law...LOL.

Give the same toy to an older child and they do not put it in their mouths.  The older child knows what to do with the toy, and if they do not, then they know to read the instructions to find out more about the toy.

The same is true with the Law of Sowing and Reaping.  As spiritually young believers mature, they begin to realize that if you sow and apple you reap and apple, sow a potato and reap a potato.  You get the idea.

They have also learned to be patient, and wait for the return.  When sowing, they reaping is IN DUE TIME.  Harvest is rarely immediate.  It takes time for seed to take root, and grow.  The harvest comes after the growing is finished, when the plants go to seed to reproduce itself, many times over.

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.  (7)  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.  2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shafken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.  Luke 6:38
Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:  (4)  And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.  (5)  And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:  (6)  But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.  (7)  And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.  (8)  And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.  (9)  And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.  (10)  And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.  (11)  And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:  Mark 4:3-11
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  (8)  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  (9)  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.  Galatians 6:7-9
