Who Am I? I Am Loved Beyond What I Could Ever Imagine.

My two children, a group of their friends, and I decided have a day of fun, out and about.  We stopped at a fast food restaurant for lunch, and had a great time.  After eating and visiting for a while, we headed to the local movie theater nearby.  I pulled into the parking lot and reached for my wallet as we piled out of the van.  It was gone.  Immediately I realized I had left the wallet at the restaurant. So, we hurried back to get it.

The table where we had eaten lunch was clean and the floor mopped underneath, but no wallet.  We asked the employees if they had seen the wallet, and they denied having seen it.  The wallet contained almost a $1000.00 in it, almost everything I had at the moment.  We talked to the manager, checked the trash cans, and asked to see video (they said there was no video).  We did not find the wallet or its contents.  Because it was valuable to me we search and hunted everywhere for it. The kids knew the money for the movies and other plans we had made was in the wallet.  We were very disappointed when we could not find it and returned home for the day.

We are valuable to God.  He has repeatedly, throughout the Word, shown His children just how valuable we are to Him.

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Mat 10:29-30

There are many passages in God's Word telling us how valuable we are to Him.  We were made in His very own image (Genesis 1:26-27).  We are fearfully and wonderfully made with God knowing us before we were even born (Psalm 139:13-16).  He chose us as His children before the foundations of the earth were even formed (Ephesians 1:4), and we are His own possession, chosen for the praise of His glory, and He has provided an inheritance for us as His children (Ephesians 1:13-14).

Notice in the scriptures above, we have done nothing to deserve or obtain what He has done for us.  Out of the love of a Father He has blessed us

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.  Ephesians 2:8
Read Luke Chapter 15 today, and notice how each of the three parables tell of a Father's Love, Grace, and Mercy.  We are valuable to Him, so much so, that He gave His only Son to give us Life and a relationship with Him.
