Who am I? I Am A Chosen Race, A Royal Priesthood, A Holy Nation, A Peculiar People.

What is our position in Christ?
"But ye are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light:" (1 Peter 2:9).
What a favored position we possess!

Why?  So we may celebrate and testify of what God has done for us!  After all, we did not save ourselves.  We did not do anything to even deserve the mercy He has extended to us.

"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,  (5)  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)  (6)  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:  (7)  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.  (8)  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  (9)  Not of works, lest any man should boast.  (10)  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."  Ephesians 2:4-10

Our position in Christ sets us apart from the world (John 17:14-16).

We are favored and chosen by God.  We are kingly, of a royal priesthood. We are sacred, pure, blameless, and holy.  We are His people.

We are His eternal family.  As such, we are the object of His love.

We are not like other people in this world.  We are different, we are unique.  Our lives can reflect our position in Christ.  (Romans 12:2) God's perfect will for our lives is to live in all that He has provided for us.
