Who Am I? I Am Trusting.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5,6

What does it mean to TRUST in the Lord?

Trust means to rely on, or to be confident or sure of.   

Relationships are built upon LOVE and TRUST.  

Think about first meeting a spouse or close friend.  The initial meetings are getting to know each other, discovering likes and dislikes, compatibility, personalities, character, .....  AND ..... in time a relationship begins to form. Both parties begin to share deeper areas of each other's lives.  

As the relationship grows, a TRUST is developed between the two. 

TRUST requires a period of getting to know each other.  It takes time and effort to build a relationship, a trust.  

How do we get to know God?  

"Truly, truly, I say to you;the Son can do nothing of himself [by his own will], but only does what he sees the Father do. For whatever things he [the Father] does, these are also likewise done by the Son."  John 5:19

Look to God's Word. We see God's personality, His character, His likes and dislikes, and much more within the pages of His Word, and in the life of His Son, Jesus.  

Reading many biographies about great Christians throughout the years, I took notice of an important ingredient in their daily lives.  They spent time getting to know God through His Word, through times of Praise and Worship, and through Prayer and listening to God.  They KNEW HIM, and they TRUSTED HIM.
