Borders...

Wow!  Traveling throughout Asia presents challenges.

The nature of what we do in this country requires travels visas to enter and exit the borders.  Travel visas come with a string of requirements, paperwork, and approvals.  Once approved, the visa may have a length of time before it expires, for example, 6 months.  However, most visas in this part of the country with longer expiration dates attached to them, come with a 30 day in country duration from the point of entry each time.

In other words, the travel may be good for six months, but we can only stay in the country for thirty days at a time.  This means that we must exit the country every thirty days and return to the country for another thirty days, every month.

Over the past several years of making this happen it has become just a regular part of our monthly schedule.  We have learned to use the travel time on trains, subways, and cars to work over the internet, Skype, etc.... We live in an age with 3G/4G, wifi- phone internet sharing, Skype and conference calling, Cloud/Skydrive storage...making it easier to work on the road regardless of where in the world we are at the moment.  Got to love technology.
