Don't Climb Over It!  Don't Crawl Under It!  Don't Skirt Around It!  Move It!

We are going to teach you to move mountains!*

"I am going to win my battles today!"  Wo jintian jiang yao ying wode zhan dou!  This is a song we sing in our services at the Church Plant.  Teach the people faith,  and they learn to move mountains.

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken;  we also believe, and therefore speak.  2 Corinthians 4:13 

The original Greek for this verse says, "We having the same spirit of faith,  according to as it is written, I believed, and therefore I speak.  We also believe, and therefore speak." 

Pay attention to two important ingredients here:  the believingand the speaking - they are directly connected together.

A member of the Church reported eating dinner with friends, but his stomach hurt and did not feel well.  He said several times:  By His stripes I am healed.   He became more sick with more pain.  Then, he remembered that if he did not pray effectively he would not be healed.   He said, "I command….."  Within three seconds the pain left, and he was healed.  This young man tapped into a power and did that by believing (tapping into his faith) in the words he spoke based on the Word of God. 

How many of Christians believe, but do not speak?  

How many pray speak ineffectively (not based upon God's Word in your life)?   

We must hook up our speaking with our believing and God's Word. 

Mix our speaking with our believing and enter into the supernatural realm. 

In Acts Chapter 18 Paul is preaching Jesus.  While preaching Jesus, a local ruler of the temple called Paul on the carpet saying he was not suppose to do this.  Was Paul nervous?  No.  Jesus already spoke to him, "Don't be afraid, speak the things I have put into your mouth."

Later, in 2 Corinthians 4:13 Paul wrote, "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak."  You see Paul learned something - Jesus told him don't be just a believer, speak what you believe!

We are moving over into mountain moving faith.

In Mark 11:23 Jesus is speaking and says, "Whosoever says to the mountain, be moved and cast into the sea, shall believe in his heart that those things which he says shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he says."  This is not a prayer! He is telling them to speak!

Whatsoever you are going through in your life today (your mountain - something that by the natural cannot be moved),  say BE MOVED, and do not doubt in your heart, but believe it will come to pass.  You will have whatsoever you say. 

Why did Jesus say this in verse 23?  Go back and read verse 17 to see that Jesus spoke to the fig tree and cursed it.  The next day the tree was dried up.  The disciples were amazed at this.  Then, Jesus said in verse 22, "Have faith in God."  (The Greek says:  Jesus said, Have the God kind of faith.")   This means there are different kinds of faith.

Jesus said have the God kind of Faith.  What kind of faith does God have? 

In Genesis, God said, Let there be light."  Before God spoke everything was dark.  God spoke something before it happened.  And, light became!

Paul said, "We believe and therefore we speak."

Look again at Mark 11:23. 

Jesus said, "Verily verily I say unto you.  Whosoever shall sayto the mountain."

In the original Greek there is much more depth going on here.  This word SAY means much more!  In the Greek there are three greek words connected to this word say! 

1. Epo - is the greek word for say.  It really means to command.  Jesus said, "Whosoever commands this mountain…."  Your mountain could be you are sick, your business, a child who seems lost, etc. 
2. La-leo - to speak out boldly

Jesus said…whosoever commands, speaks out boldly…..

3. Lego - a systematic speech  (Lego examples:  build systematically….adding lego's to build up what we are creating. )

Therefore, the Greek word for Say means command, speak boldly, and do it in a systematic way that builds something!

This is the secret Paul is telling the church!!!  We believe and therefore we speak!

All through the Word, God is trying to get your lips to lineup with what you believe.    Every time you open your mouth you have the potential to build your victory, building and moving your mountain.  

However, you have the potential to destroy what you have the same way.  By speaking words that you believe boldly, but tear down rather than build up.  "I am poor.  I am stupid.  I don't have enough.  I am sick.  I don't think I will ever….."  This is not what Jesus said do.  He said build your life, not tear it down.

Have a system of speaking your words in faith that build rather than tear down your life.  Build your world with your words.
